Author Guidelines
The Journal of Sustainable Business and Economic Policy (JSBEP)
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that align with the aims and scope of The Journal of Sustainable Business and Economic Policy (JSBEP). All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine relevance, quality, and suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum scholarly standards may be desk-rejected.
Before submission, authors must ensure that all co-authors consent to the submission and that all permissions for copyrighted material (e.g., images, datasets, diagrams) have been obtained. Where applicable, research must have received ethical approval from a recognized institutional review board in accordance with national regulations.
When satisfied that the manuscript is prepared according to the journal’s standards, please follow the detailed guidelines below.
1. Article Types
JSBEP accepts the following types of papers:

Research Articles (full-length original research)

Review Articles (systematic reviews, scoping reviews, bibliometric analyses, meta-analyses)
All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. If the manuscript contains previously published materials (e.g., figures, tables, datasets), this must be disclosed and appropriate permissions must be obtained. Evidence of permissions may be requested at any time.
2. Template of a Manuscript
Authors must submit two separate Word documents:
A. Title Page (with author information)

The title page must include:
- Article title
- Full author names
- Institutional affiliations
- Postal addresses
- Email addresses
- ORCID IDs (recommended)
- Identification of the corresponding author
- Abstract (200 words)
- Keywords (6–10)
- Acknowledgements
- Funding information
- Disclosure statement
Author contributions
(These must NOT appear in the anonymized file.)
B. Anonymized Document (for peer review)
Must include:
- Title of the manuscript
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Main body text (with all identifying information removed)
- References
Personal information will be added back into the final publication after acceptance.
3. General Guidelines
Language
Only English-language manuscripts are accepted. Authors are responsible for ensuring correct grammar and academic writing. Professional language editing before submission is strongly recommended.
Non-discriminatory Language
Sexist, racist, or prejudicial terms are strictly prohibited.
Author Information Requirements
Authors must provide:
- Full name
- Affiliation (at the time research was conducted)
- Address
- ORCID iD (recommended)
- Identification of the corresponding author
4. Manuscript Structure
Each article must include the following elements:
Title
Clear, concise, informative (maximum 20 words).
Abstract
Approximately 200 words, summarizing purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
Keywords
6 to 10 terms.
Main Body (6,000–8,000 words)
Should include:
- Introduction – background, rationale, research question
- Methodology / Theoretical Framework
- Results
- Discussion – interpretation and implications
- Conclusions – key findings and recommendations
Sections may be numbered sequentially except Introduction, Conclusions, and References.
Acknowledgements / Funding / Conflicts / Contributions
Included ONLY in the Title Page (not in the anonymized document).
5. Equations
Equations must be prepared using Equation Editor.
- Main symbols: 10 pt
- Indexes: 7 pt
- Sub-indexes: 6 pt
6. Tables
- Create tables in Word or Excel.
- Number tables sequentially (Table 1, Table 2…).
- Provide clear, descriptive captions.
- Footnotes may be added for abbreviations.
7. Figures
Figures may be embedded in the submission file, but after acceptance must be uploaded separately.
Resolution Requirements
- Line art: 1200 dpi
- Grayscale: 600 dpi
- Color: 300 dpi
Allowed Formats
*.pdf, *.eps, *.cdr, *.xls, *.xlsx, .dwg
Each figure must be numbered and include a caption.
8. Author Contributions and Acknowledgments
Authorship must follow the ICMJE criteria. Individuals who contributed intellectually must be listed as authors. Others who contributed (funding, technical help, data collection) should be acknowledged, with their permission.

9. Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence their research.
10. Funding
Provide complete funding information in one of the following formats:
Single funding source
This work was supported by the <Funding Agency> under Grant No. XXXX.
Multiple funding sources
This work was supported by <Agency #1> Grant No. XXXX; <Agency #2> Grant No. XXXX; and <Agency #3> Grant No. XXXX.
11. References
JSBEP uses APA 7th Edition (author–date system). All cited references must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

12. Supplemental Online Material
Supplementary materials (surveys, audio files, videos, datasets) may be submitted and will be evaluated for relevance. Authors are fully responsible for the content of supplementary files.
13. Data Sharing
JSBEP encourages authors to deposit datasets in public repositories such as FigShare or Zenodo. Datasets should be cited in the reference list with a DOI.
14. Reproduction of Copyright Material
Authors must obtain written permission for reuse of any copyrighted content. Permissions must be acknowledged in figure/table captions.
Derivative reproductions (redrawn tables/figures based on published sources) also require permission.
15. Publication Ethics
JSBEP adheres to COPE Core Practices. Ethical responsibilities include:
- Plagiarism: checked for all submissions
- Proper authorship: no addition/removal without consent
- Conflict of interest: must be declared
- Accuracy: misleading or selective reporting is prohibited
Serious misconduct may lead to retraction.
16. Corrections After Publication
If errors are identified post-publication, JSBEP editors will determine the appropriate correction method (erratum, corrigendum, or retraction), following best publishing practices.
